What do Alaina Giordano and Crystal Mangum have in common?

Do you remember the Duke lacrosse team scandal that happened five years ago?

Let me refresh your memory. There was a party and members of the Duke University lacrosse team were accused of sexually assaulting a woman who had been hired as a stripper to entertain at the party. At first the typical response was a bunch of spoiled, privileged college guys got together, had too much to drink and took advantage of a woman.

Then the facts came out and the accusations were found to be false. The case was dismissed by the state Attorney General but the damage had already been done. The case had gotten nationwide attention and tarnished the reputations of the Duke lacrosse players that were falsely accused.

The woman behind the allegations was a stripper who was working for an escort service. Her name is Crystal Mangum.

Magnum, a “mother” of three, made headlines in Durham last year when she was charged with felony arson, child abuse, vandalism and resisting arrest. This was after she assaulted her boyfriend in the presence of her children and attempted to start a fire.

She was later convicted of child abuse, vandalism and resisting an officer.

Now Crystal Mangum has been charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill after her 46-year old boyfriend was found stabbed in the torso.

With a history like Crystal Mangum’s, you would think that a judge would lock her up and throw away the key. Crystal Mangum went before Judge Nancy Gordon who reduced her bond and ordered her to stay away from her boyfriend. Why would anyone give this woman a second chance with her history?

Anyone who has read this blog before may be familiar with Judge Nancy Gordon. Judge Gordon is the judge who heartlessly ruled that Alaina Giordano’s breast cancer diagnosis was reason enough to have her children move 900 miles away to go live with her soon to be ex-husband.  Judge Gordon had zero sympathy for Alaina Giordano even though Alaina never accused a group of innocent college students of rape. Alaina Giordano never abused her children. Alaina Giordano never stabbed a man. Alaina Giordano had the misfortune of getting breast cancer.

Crystal Mangum is a “mother” of three with a history of lying, assault and child abuse yet she gets her bond reduced?

Alaina Giordano and her children should be separated because she has breast cancer according to Judge Gordon.

There is something very wrong with a judge who punishes a good mother for something she cannot control (breast cancer) and allows a woman like Crystal Mangum who has a history of violent behavior to walk free.

The first thing that needs to be done is get Judge Nancy Gordon OFF THE BENCH!
