Readers who are too righteous to admit the truth can just stop reading this post right away. The truth is that EVERYBODY LIES.
Some people are malicious and lie on purpose. Some people lie because they fear hurting someone's feelings. Some people lie because they cannot handle facing the truth. Other people lie because they wouldn't know the truth if it slapped them in the face.
I myself am guilty of holding back the truth at times but I honestly never make a habit of lying to someone in order to hurt their feelings. Truth hurts sometimes but it is very important to me.
I recently had the misfortune of dealing with some distant relatives who fit into the category of "not knowing the truth if it slapped them in the face". One is also the malicious type of liar whose main purpose in life seems to be to hurt others by twisting the truth. Her ego is such that she is unable to take any kind of personal responsibility for anything. She would stab her own mother in the back to get her way.
I like to believe that there is good in everyone. People often react a certain way to situations because they have a fear of getting hurt, have trust issues or they are just so evil-minded that they think everyone else is just as twisted as they are. I still believe in giving second chances. Sometimes. It depends on the person.
People can change if they want to but unless they are aware that there is anything in need of changing they will just go through life being the miserable person that they are.
I prefer to steer clear of her kind.
My life is good. I have struggles like many others but I prefer to surround myself with loving, truthful people. When people throw around the word "love" but then act in a hateful way it just proves how little they know about what real love is.
But I am not going to waste my thoughts anymore about malicious, hateful liars. I have said enough.
Yes. I am not perfect but I certainly am above this kind of person. I always was and I always will be.
Gossip, lies and hateful behavior are really so unnecessary. Life is short- why waste time with negativity?
I am so much better than that.
It's my life and it's now or never. I just want to live while I'm alive and while I'm living I'm sharing it here - totally raw and all Jersey!

Royal Wedding
It really amazes me just how many people live vicariously through celebrities and people they don't even know.
Take the royal wedding. People actually went out of their way to get up early and watch the spectacle on television.
I was up before dawn (as usual) and put on the television (as usual) to see the local weather report/prediction. I had forgotten that the festivities were starting so early (time difference).
As I went through my morning routine with the wedding on in the background, it made me think about why people get so caught up in these events. Are people really so unhappy with their own lives?
Why do so many need to believe in fairytales? Why are so many women unlucky at love?
I have not always been happily married. As a matter of fact, when Prince William's parents got married, I had just married my first husband. When Princess Diana tragically died, I was married to my second husband. And now I am happily married to my 3rd (and final) husband.
I never believed in fairytales. I never wanted to be that princess who was taken care of by a man. My husband is extremely good to me but I am good to him also. It is give and take. It is also work to be happy in a relationship. I did an awful lot of self-exploration to come to a place where I was ready to be a strong part of a couple. That may be where many people go wrong.
I heard a reporter say that the wedding of William and Kate gives people hope. How is that really?
Yesterday, more than 300 people were killed in the SouthEast by record tornadoes. They are still finding the dead amongst the rubble. How does the royal wedding give these people hope?
Love exists, real love, amongst the "commoners". The father in Alabama who died by using his body to shield his 9 year old daughter from the tornado (she survived) - that is love. My friends parents who celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary today are a prime example of real love. They raised a family, not in great monetary wealth but the richness of raising 2 fine adults and seeing their grandchildren grow up the same.
Real love isn't like a fairytale. Does anybody really want that?

Self-esteem and Women- How to Tell if Yours is Low
Women and self-esteem. Your relationships, your job and everything about you is suffering if your self-esteem is lacking.
Water for Elephants is a new movie starring Reese Witherspoon and Robert Pattenson. It is about a woman who is stuck in a role in life that doesn't make her happy. She gets the chance to follow her heart, but does she?
Many women fall into a role in life that doesn't fulfill them. Low self-esteem keeps them stuck. If you are a mom, you are teaching your daughters to follow your path. If you are not a mom, you still deserve to break free from the invisible chains that are holding you back.
Family dysfunction can cause a girl to grow up with low self-esteem. Even though we are not placing blame here, it is important to recognize that the "normal" you grew up with was anything but. It helped to mold you into the person you are today. It is never too late to "fix" the damage that was done.
Not being able to forgive can be holding you back in life. Your self-esteem could be damaged from feeling taken advantage of and you may be reacting to hurt by overcompensating in life. You may feel unworthy and this can keep you from living life to the fullest. Maybe you are even looking for a second chance by living through your child .
Are you constantly failing in relationships? Many single women make the same mistakes repeatedly and often it stems back to their own lack of self-esteem.
Do you settle for less in your relationships with men, with friends or in your career? Why is it that you feel so unworthy?
Being a princess is not allowing someone to control you. Some people seek out those whose self-esteem is low and sense their vulnerabilities. They make demands on you and you find yourself only feeling worthy because of having them in your life.
Depression could be the reason for why you just don't care enough about yourself or feel that you are worthy.
Many women go through their lives, living to please others and looking for acceptance. It isn't easy to admit that you do this but once you do, you can change your way of thinking. Being able to look at yourself honestly can make you grow as a person.
Living your life in denial works for some, but really, how happy are you? Coming out of denial and facing reality takes strength but you have it in you. Once you examine your behavior and strive to change it, you can discover who you were meant to be.

The other side of divorce
It isn't a shock to see people who have been married multiple times and keeping track of blended families has become normal. What is shocking is when you find a couple who has been able to weather the storms and still be together 25 and even 35 years later. For many people in their 50's, surviving being married to their high school sweetheart deserves a reward. I know four such couples and I am not going to embarrass them, but, all I can say is good for you!!! And they said it would never last. Having a good marriage takes work by both parties. Unfortunately, sometimes it doesn't work out the way you had hoped. There are alternatives to divorce, and maybe the couples who make it to the 25 year mark have their own secrets to marriage longevity.
So today's dailybitch salutes those couples who hung together and hopefully are living happily ever after!!!
Guess you all know what a rarity you are!
